Many years ago, “Bajo Blanco” became a rare novelty wave that was named by local surfers & fishermen. A hump in the ocean or shallow sandbar is sometimes called a "Bajo" by the fishermen; and "Blanco", which means white in Spanish, refers to the sand bottom/color. Hence Bajo Blanco.
